Programme overview:
Our 2027 London Summer Internship Programme runs for 10 weeks, starting on Monday 14 June 2027 and finishing on Friday 20 August 2027. This internship is designed to give you a unique introduction to the asset and wealth management industry and offers valuable insight into how your chosen department operates within Schroders.
Throughout the programme you will:
Take part in comprehensive introductory training to build your understanding of the business
Be assigned to a team where you will contribute to live projects and gain meaningful hands-on experience
Shadow experienced professionals and learn directly from leaders in the field
Have opportunities to network with colleagues and other interns, helping you build connections for your future career
This 10-week Public Markets Internship offers the opportunity to explore a career in investment management. Working alongside experienced analysts and fund managers, you will gain exposure to a range of investment approaches. Through a combination of training, mentorship and practical experience, you will develop your analytical, technical and professional skills while contributing to the work of our investment teams.

You should be interested in financial markets, comfortable working with data, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. A basic understanding of macroeconomics and investment concepts relevant to asset management.
A clear interest in financial markets and investing.

The ability to distil data, research and differing viewpoints into clear insights.

What a Public Markets internship entails:
Schroders Public Markets manages assets across Equities, Multi-Asset, Solutions, Fixed Income and Quantitative strategies, helping clients around the world achieve their investment objectives.
Our 10-week internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in asset management while building the skills and knowledge needed for a career in investing. Following an initial training programme, you will complete two rotations across our Equities, Multi-Asset and Solutions teams, giving you exposure to different investment approaches and perspectives.
Working alongside experienced analysts and fund managers, you will undertake analysis that contributes to investment decisions. This work may include macroeconomic and market research, industry and company analysis, building company models, and developing investment theses. During the programme, you will complete and present two investment projects to fund managers, showcasing the skills and insights you have developed. You'll be supported by dedicated mentors throughout and encouraged to build both your technical and professional skills in a collaborative and intellectually curious environment.
Our internships are the primary route into our graduate programme. As well as demonstrating your potential, you'll gain a genuine insight into life at Schroders and discover whether it is the right place to build a long-term career in investment management.
Knowledge, experience and qualifications we’re looking for:
When the internship commences, you will have completed your second year of studies and will be on track to graduate with a degree (or equivalent) in 2028
We welcome applications from all degree subjects, although a STEM focused degree discipline would be beneficial.
Please note that we do not accept applications from students in their final year who intend to undertake further study (e.g. a Master's degree) before entering employment.
A good working knowledge of document production software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The ability to understand our target audiences.
