Ab Initio Developernew

 

We are looking for an Ab Initio Developer with hands-on experience in developing and supporting data integration solutions using Ab Initio Continuous Flow Graphs and/or Batch Graphs. The candidate should have experience working with enterprise data pipelines, databases and Kafka-based integrations.

For this role, you'll be based at your nearest regional office or hub. We value time spent together to connect with colleagues for collaboration so there will be a regular requirement to attend our Edinburgh site approximately once per quarter. If you are based at an office location, you'll be expected to meet our hybrid working requirement of at least two days a week, or 40% of your working time if part-time, in the office. What you’ll be doing

 

This is a technical hands on role where you will be responsible for developing and supporting Ab Initio Continuous Flow and Batch Graphs whilst building and maintaining data integration workflows and ETL processes.

 

You will work with Kafka and database systems for data ingestion and processing, participate in testing, deployment and production support activities whilst monitoring data pipelines and resolve data quality or processing issues.
 

About you

 

As a minimum requirement, you’ll have:

 

• Extensive experience in Ab Initio development
• Hands-on experience developing or supporting Ab Initio Continuous Flow Graphs and/or Batch Graphs
• Working knowledge of Ab Initio GDE, EME, Conduct IT and Control Center
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/data integration workflows
• Exposure to Kafka for data ingestion or messaging
• Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries
• Basic Unix/Linux scripting knowledge
