We are seeking a talented individual to join our Energy & Power team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Brisbane. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.


This is an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive to join our Energy & Power team, supporting large and complex accounts within the Energy and Power sector. You will build and nurture client relationships, act as a trusted advisor, pursue new business opportunities, and expand the range of Marsh products and services held by your clients in this dynamic industry.

We will count on you to:

  • Work in a team-based servicing environment, supporting Energy and Power clients through their insurance renewals and annual insurance cycle.

  • Provide support to Senior Account Executives and Principals with portfolio management.

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of risk management and insurance programmes that accurately address client needs.

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, acquiring an understanding their business and insurance needs.

  • Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within the Energy & Power portfolio by understanding internal offerings, market trends, and client priorities

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, policy accounting information, and other documentation.

  • Liaise and negotiate with clients, underwriters, and claims managers while developing a technical understanding of relevant classes of insurance.

What you need to have:

  • Experience in a commercial insurance environment

  • Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of general business functions, finance, and related issues

  • A dedication to quality in all aspects of work performance and client services, with a passion for customer service.

  • Strong teamwork skills, maintaining solid working relationships with colleagues, clients, insurers, and other stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with various audiences.

  • Tier 1 compliance certification and/or be prepared to work towards achieving compliance.

  • Willingness to learn about the Energy & Power sector
