Job Description
Purpose of the job:
Take ownership of a diverse portfolio of client entities while building your expertise in financial reporting, management accounts and client accounting. You'll work closely with clients, auditors and colleagues across multiple jurisdictions, delivering high-quality accounting services that help clients meet their reporting obligations and achieve their objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the preparation of financial statements and management accounts for a diverse portfolio of client entities.
- Apply your technical accounting knowledge to deliver accurate reporting in line with relevant accounting standards and deadlines.
- Perform and review bank, investment and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data integrity and financial accuracy.
- Prepare and review VAT returns and other accounting deliverables, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with clients, auditors and internal stakeholders to support the smooth delivery of accounting services.
- Review client deliverables and provide guidance to junior colleagues, helping to develop capability across the team.
- Support audit processes by coordinating responses to auditor queries and ensuring information is provided efficiently.
- Contribute to the coaching and development of junior team members through knowledge sharing and day-to-day support.
- Maintain high-quality working papers and supporting documentation in line with internal standards and procedures.
- Support ad hoc projects, process improvements and initiatives that enhance client service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent), an accounting-related degree, or relevant experience gained within accounting, audit or financial services.
- Experience preparing financial statements and management accounts, with a sound understanding of IFRS; exposure to UK GAAP or other accounting frameworks would be advantageous.
- Strong technical accounting, reconciliation and financial reporting skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to review work, provide guidance to colleagues and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality client service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems, with experience of platforms such as Navision, Viewpoint or ValueFinancials being beneficial.
