Job Description:
We're looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join Penn Mutual! In this role you will gain hands-on experience across multiple actuarial disciplines while progressing toward your FSA designation. This role offers a dynamic blend of analytical work, collaboration across teams, and professional growth.

Responsibilities
- Perform actuarial calculations and analyses supporting product development, financial management, reserving, experience studies, risk management, and other business initiatives.
- Analyze data, assumptions, and results, investigating and resolving issues as appropriate.
- Support actuarial research, audits, financial reporting, and regulatory or rating agency requests.
- Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for management and other internal or external stakeholders.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements, including the use of emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools, to improve actuarial efficiency.
- Partner with departments such as Accounting and Operations to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Adhere to company policies, actuarial standards, and the company's framework of internal controls.
Skills and Abilities
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be detail-oriented and be able to handle multiple tasks/projects as well as exercise initiative and follow-through to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make a positive contribution as demonstrated by learning new skills and making suggestions for process/procedure improvement
Education
- Bachelor's Degree major/concentration in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or related discipline Required
Experience
- 0-3 Years of experience Required and
- One exam toward the eventual attainment of ASA Required and
- Committed to pursuing the FSA designation Required and
Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
