We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Consulting Pacific team at Marsh. This role will be based in either our Sydney CBD or Melbourne CBD office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This Actuarial Consultant role sits within our Analytics Solutions team and offers the opportunity to combine technical problem solving with high-value client engagement.  You will play a key role in delivering actuarial and risk analytics to clients across a range of industries. You will work on diverse and complex projects, participate in end-to-end client engagements and communicate technical insights in a clear and practical way for clients and internal stakeholders.

We will count on you to:

  • Develop and apply actuarial modelling skills to support client projects and advisory work
  • Execute end-to-end delivery of client engagements, ensuring quality and timely completion
  • Communicate key insights and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Build and maintain trusted client relationships across a range of industries
  • Identify opportunities to improve business outcomes through analytical and advisory support
  • Contribute to projects such as actuarial reserving, technical pricing, stochastic loss modelling, risk finance optimisation and limit validation reviews

What you need to have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in the insurance industry
  • Degree qualification in a related field such as Actuarial Studies, Data Science, Statistics or another relevant technical discipline
  • Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work independently with critical thinking skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
