We are seeking a talented individual to join our Accounting Operations team at Marsh & McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS). This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective team's arrangement.
Analyst - Accounting Operations
We will count on you to:
Responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient management of bank-related accounting activities. This role involves reconciling bank accounts, overseeing cash transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Perform monthly bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy between bank statement and general ledger
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Prepare and post journal entries for bank transactions ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
Adjust entries as necessary errors or reconciling items.
Ensure all bank transactions comply with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external audits by providing detailed bank-related documentation.
Helps and assist senior to provide
Supports senior accountants, and other higher-level superiors by ensuring accurate management of bank-related accounting tasks.
What you need to have:
Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
At least 1-2 years of relevant experience, who has a good understanding of basic accounting principles and is comfortable handling day-to-day accounting activities.
Strong Microsoft Excel Proficiency
