Position Overview
The Annuity Specialist Processor is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of post-issue annuity transactions while delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers. This role reviews, researches, and completes a variety of policy servicing requests, financial adjustments, and transaction corrections in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and service level expectations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and collaboration across Operations, Customer Service, Compliance, Finance, and other business partners to resolve complex servicing requests and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a wide variety of post-issue annuity transactions, including:
- Policy updates and maintenance
- Financial adjustments
- Payment corrections and reversals
- Check reissues
- Other policy servicing requests
- Research and resolve complex policy inquiries, discrepancies, and escalated servicing issues accurately and within established service standards.
- Review transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company guidelines.
- Maintain detailed documentation of policy administration activities within the policy administration system and supporting applications.
- Partner with Customer Service, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Legal, and other business units to resolve exceptions and ensure positive customer outcomes.
- Analyze servicing processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with testing, implementation, and ongoing support of process enhancements and system improvements.
- Participate in special projects and departmental initiatives that support operational excellence.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready records and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external business partners via phone, email, and written correspondence when necessary.
- Consistently meet established productivity, quality, and service level expectations.
- Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing business needs, regulations, and operational priorities.
Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, insurance, annuities, banking, or a related operations environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple systems efficiently.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
This is the expected annual base salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance. Base Salary Range $45,000 to $60,000
