Ready to be a key player in the world of fund management industry? As a part of Transfer Agent team, you will dive into the exciting world of fund operations, learning to cover transaction settlement and operation system maintenance that keeps our funds running seamlessly.
You will be expected to handle transaction settlement with precision, implement accurate system setup for business development and collaborate across teams to keep fund operation running like clockwork. This work matters because it’s the backbone of how clients engage with our funds, building on their trust that contributes to long-term business success.
Job responsibilities
- To effectively process daily fund settlement and perform day end cash reconciliation, ensure no unexplained cash break.
- Settlement account management (e.g. account opening, renewal and closure, record keeping and archive).
- Setup static data in key operation systems (e.g. TA, ETF TA, Fund Settlement) to support smooth daily fund operation around the clock.
- To work nightshift on TA day-end system processing (about once every week, from 9am to 11pm)
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide value-added operational support (e.g. regulatory data output, customized parameter table and respond to sales and client enquires)
- To coordinate with stakeholders for projects related to innovative product development, system tests and process optimization according to business needs.
- To communicate and resolve issues with external stakeholders such as distributors and vendors.
- Duly carry out tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures and strictly observe firmwide professional conduct, proactively identify operation risks and prevent financial loss and reputational damage.
- Other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business/Investment or IT related fields.
- Around 8-10 years of relevant work experience in fund operation, cash settlement and clearance, holding certificate of China Asset Management Association.
- Working experience on cross functional project management in large multinational company such banking group and asset management company.
- Possess “can-do” attitude, excellent work ethics, be diligent and detail-oriented, have a strong sense of dedication and responsibility.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, and with team-oriented spirit
- Proficient in English workplace communication (IELTS score 7 or equivalent).
- Quick learner and always adapt to fast changing environment, and be able to deliver results under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Overseas study and work experience is preferred.
- Industry experience on managing ETFs and Mutual Recognition of Funds.
- Proficiency in VBA or python coding
