As an Asset Specialist within Asset Servicing, you manage daily controls across the corporate actions and income lifecycle. You ensure accurate and timely processing of mandatory and voluntary events while resolving exceptions and escalations. You support consistent, well-controlled execution by strengthening operational readiness and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the asset servicing lifecycle across corporate actions and income events
- Process mandatory and voluntary corporate action payments received from agents or depositories with accuracy and timeliness
- Validate daily operational signoffs and confirm completion of required controls
- Maintain viable business continuity and concentration plans, and support testing in accordance with firm policy
- Coordinate issue planning and crisis review activities, including rapid operational and technical assessments as needed
- Own issues related to the asset services department and escalate timely to operational and risk leads
- Reconcile cash and stock breaks received from the market and document resolution actions
- Escalate high-risk and high-value breaks daily and confirm appropriate visibility and actioning
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Demonstrate operational subject matter expertise across reconciliation, settlements, and trade support activities
- Show 2+ years of experience in asset servicing, risk and control, and custody activities
- Learn an ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processes through structured training and on-the-job application
- Prioritize workloads effectively while working to critical deadlines
- Exhibit risk and control awareness through consistent adherence to procedures and escalation protocols
- Take ownership and accountability for operational and project deliverables
- Communicate clearly in writing and verbally with internal and external clients
Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Exhibit exposure to AI-enabled tools and willingness to adopt emerging technologies that support process improvement and operational excellence.
