Financial Crime Investigations & AML Monitoring
• Conduct complex Level 1 investigations of alerts generated through transaction monitoring systems.
• Analyze customer activity, transactional behavior, and supporting information to identify potentially suspicious activity involving money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, sanctions violations, or other financial crimes.
• Document investigation findings, conclusions, and supporting rationale in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Escalate matters requiring enhanced investigation or regulatory review to appropriate compliance partners.
• Perform ad hoc and event-driven investigations as required.
Customer Due Diligence & Ongoing Monitoring
• Review client files for compliance with AML, KYC, CIP, EDD, sanctions, and related regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodic reviews, ongoing customer monitoring, adverse media reviews, and Politically Exposed Person (PEP) investigations.
• Partner with relationship managers, client-facing teams, MLROs, auditors, and other stakeholders to resolve compliance-related matters.
• Identify and escalate regulatory compliance risks associated with customer reviews and monitoring activities.
Sanctions Compliance
• Review and assess sanctions alerts generated through transaction, client, and securities screening systems.
• Determine permissibility of transactions and relationships under OFAC and other applicable sanctions regulations.
• Provide guidance to business partners regarding sanctions requirements and regulatory developments.
• Perform quality assurance reviews related to sanctions screening activities.
• Escalate potential sanctions exposure and compliance risks to management.
Compliance Risk, Ethics & Governance
• Review and assess ethics and conflict of interest (OCOI) requests and alerts.
• Conduct investigations involving employee conduct, financial crime concerns, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Prepare management reporting, risk dashboards, and governance materials for committees and senior leadership.
• Analyze risk trends and identify opportunities for strengthening controls and program effectiveness.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, issue remediation, and control validation activities.

• Assist with workflow coordination, quality reviews, and monitoring service delivery
• Conduct quality reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
