Skills and Competencies
5+ years of communications experience, ideally with exposure to commercial or business-to-business communications within financial services
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex business topics into clear and compelling communications
Proven ability to develop and execute communications strategies that support commercial priorities and business growth
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously
Experience partnering with commercial, sales, marketing, or business teams in a collaborative and consultative capacity
Ability to develop messaging, campaign content, briefing materials, and executive talking points for external audiences
Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure, evaluate, and communicate the effectiveness of communications programs
Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
Responsibilities
Lead strategic communications initiatives that support Moody’s Ratings’ commercial objectives and business growth.
Develop and execute communications strategies aligned with Moody’s Ratings’ commercial priorities and growth objectives
Partner with commercial and business leaders to understand strategic priorities and translate them into external-facing messaging, narratives, and content
Create and manage campaign content, thought leadership materials, briefing documents, and executive talking points
Support alignment between Moody’s Ratings communications initiatives, global campaigns, and enterprise-wide programs
Identify and promote opportunities to enhance the visibility of key commercial initiatives and business priorities
Monitor, measure, and report on the effectiveness of communications activities and provide recommendations for improvement
Build and maintain strong relationships across Communications, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, and business stakeholders
Ensure consistent messaging and positioning across communications activities while supporting Moody’s Ratings’ reputation and commercial goals

Corporate Affairs shapes and protects Moody’s global reputation and voice through enterprise communications, brand management, media relations, and executive visibility. The team partners closely with business leaders across Moody’s Ratings to support strategic priorities, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and deliver impactful communications programs that advance commercial objectives.
