AmTrust Financial is seeking an accomplished and results-driven Assistant Vice President, Workers Compensation Claim Technical to provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for our Workers Compensation Claims organization.
****This position will ideally work hybrid out of an AmTrust Claims Office****

What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Workers Compensation Technical Specialists.
- Drive strategic initiatives that improve claim quality, consistency, operational effectiveness, and customer outcomes.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute claim management strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Provide expert technical guidance on complex workers' compensation claims and emerging claim trends.
- Maintain shared accountability for inventory management, compensability decisions, reserve adequacy, litigation management, and cost-effective claim resolution.
- Serve as the Workers Compensation Claims liaison to the Quality Assurance program.
- Support national technical training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of leadership experience within Workers Compensation Claims.
- Deep expertise in workers' compensation claim handling, reserving, litigation management, and complex claim resolution.
- Experience leading teams in a matrixed environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Track record of achieving operational excellence and business results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
- Experience leading Home Office Examiners, Technical Specialists, or similar claim oversight teams.
- Professional designations such as CPCU, AIC, ARM, SCLA, or equivalent.
