About the American Express Discovery Program

Date: September 01, 2026

Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

This invitation-only, half-day, in-person event offers high-potential second- and third-year undergraduate students an inside look at American Express through interactive learning, networking, and career exploration.

During this experience, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Discover American Express through an overview of our business, teams, and career opportunities.

  • Hear from American Express Canada colleagues about their career journeys and experiences.

  • Connect with colleagues through networking opportunities.

  • Learn about future internship opportunities across American Express Toronto. 
     

Food and refreshments will be provided. 
 

Explore a variety of career paths across American Express, including:

  • Finance 

  • Commercial Services 

  • Global Merchant & Network Services 

  • Technology 

  • Risk Management 

  • Product Management 

  • Marketing 

  • Analytics 

  • Operations 

 

Business areas represented may vary based on business availability.

 

What Backgrounds/Experiences Are We Looking For

We're looking for students who are curious, collaborative, and eager to learn. Successful candidates demonstrate strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, leadership potential, and a passion for making an impact. We also value individuals who embody our core values of trust, integrity, respect, quality, and a commitment to backing our customers, communities, and one another.

Required Qualifications 

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's Degree Program

  • Graduation date between December 2028 – June 2029

  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in Canada is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions

 

Interest in one or more of the following career areas:

  • Product

Registration 

  • The American Express Discovery Program (ADP) will take place on Tuesday, September 01, 2026. Additional event details, including the venue and agenda will be shared with selected attendees upon confirmation.

  • Space is limited, so please be sure to apply by Monday, August 17, 2026 at 11:59pm ET for consideration.

  • Students selected to attend will begin receiving a confirmation email as early as August 19th, along with full event details, including the location. Travel will not be provided or reimbursed. 

 

Important: Completing this registration is required to be considered for the event; however, submission does not guarantee an invitation. Attendance at this event does not provide any advantage or preferential consideration for future internship or full-time opportunities. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and selected students will begin receiving confirmation emails as early as August 19, 2026. Space is limited.
