The First Line of Defense Financial Crimes Risk & Controls Center of Excellence (1LOD FCRC COE) provides an enterprise-wide approach to financial crimes risk management across the First Line of Defense. The team partners across business units to strengthen governance, execution, reporting, and enablement capabilities supporting regulatory remediation and operational excellence.
The Financial Crimes Governance & Issue Management team is responsible for driving integrated execution, decision-ready reporting, and scalable operating capabilities that improve transparency, stakeholder experience, and remediation outcomes across the organization.
As a Program Management Intern, you will own a strategic summer project focused on evaluating and improving how the Financial Crimes PMO Remediation Office operates. Working alongside leaders across Execution, Reporting, and Enablement, you will assess the current operating model, engage stakeholders to understand their experience, identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, and develop recommendations that strengthen governance, execution, reporting, and enablement through process innovation, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
This role offers exposure to enterprise program management, operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, executive communications, and strategic planning while delivering recommendations that create lasting business value. Duties include:
Lead the 1LOD Financial Crimes Remediation Operational Excellence & Innovation Assessment.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the current remediation operating model across governance, execution, reporting, and enablement.
Conduct stakeholder interviews and assess the end-to-end partner experience to identify opportunities for process and service improvements.
Research operational excellence, automation, and AI-enabled opportunities that improve scalability and efficiency.
Analyze findings and develop a prioritized future-state roadmap with actionable recommendations.
Build executive-ready presentations and communicate recommendations to business leaders.
Partner effectively across multiple organizations to gather insights and drive alignment throughout the project.
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
Candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2027- June 2028.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in Program Management, Strategy, Operations, Consulting, Process Improvement, or Financial Services.
Curious mindset with a passion for improving how organizations operate.
Strong critical thinking and research skills.
Comfortable working in ambiguity and translating findings into practical recommendations.
Interest in emerging technologies, automation, and AI as tools to improve business processes.
Experience developing presentations and communicating recommendations to diverse audiences.
