Chief Accountant

Job Description

The chief account discharges his/her assignments under the guidance of the chief of party and financial and operations manager. She/he is responsible for preparing financial report, tracking payments, supervising petty cash disbursements, analyzing expenditure and income, allocating account codes and posting into the quick books.

 

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will meet thefollowing requirements:
• Must have a BSC or HND inaccounting. MBA or membership of ACA or CPA is an added advantage.
• Must have at least 3 years ofexperience working in accounting/financial management of USAID or otherinternational donor funded-projects.
• Excellent organizational, oral andwritten communication skills in English.
• Excellent finance, accounting andmanagement analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with Quick BooksAccounting software, Microsoft excel, word processing and database applicationshighly required.
• Ability to work as an integral partof a professional team, set priorities and handle a high volume of activities.
