Cloud Security & Automation Engineer

Platform Security Tribe – CISO Division – Euroclear

We are looking for a hands-on engineer to help build, automate, and operate security infrastructure across Euroclear's hybrid environment, including Windows, Linux, and Azure cloud-native services.

You will contribute to the evolution of our certificate management, secrets management, and cryptographic services while working closely with senior engineers and security specialists. This role offers an opportunity to deepen expertise in PKI and modern security technologies whilst delivering secure and scalable automation solutions.

 Your Role

• Implement and support certificate management, PKI, and cryptographic services across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Contribute to the automation of certificate and secret lifecycle management processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents involving security infrastructure, certificates, authentication, and related services.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to integrate secure solutions aligned with Euroclear standards.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and automation solutions supporting security platforms and services.
• Participate in a Watch Duty rotation (approximately one day per week) supporting critical security platforms.
• Continuously improve operational resilience through automation, monitoring, and process optimisation.

 

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Experience with Azure services, and cloud security concepts.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python. PowerShell 
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, security principles, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience supporting Windows and Linux platforms in enterprise environments.
• Experience investigating production issues using standard operating system and network diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and automation technologies such as Terraform and Ansible is considered an advantage.

 

Nice to Have

• Exposure to PKI platforms, certificate lifecycle management, or cryptographic services.
• Experience working with Azure Managed HSM, Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), or key management platforms.
• Knowledge of modern cryptography concepts and security standards.
• Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments.
• Experience developing internal automation tooling or security engineering solutions.
• Familiarity with identity and access management solutions and authentication protocols.

• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, architecture, and security teams.
• Structured and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to learn and develop expertise in PKI, cryptography, and security platforms.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to identify risks, propose improvements, and contribute to technical discussions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
