Manulife is looking for a Cybersecurity and Risk Management Specialist to support security control management and governance. The Control Management and Control Governance team aims to facilitate information security and data governance processes, enable risk-based decision-making, and deliver a compliance foundation to achieve and maintain compliance certifications. The Cybersecurity and Risk Management Specialist leads the end-to-end configuration management lifecycle—from scanning and analysis to driving remediation—across end-user and IoT technologies. They play a critical role in embedding security practices into development and infrastructure operations to reduce risk and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance for security hardening for end users and IoT devices
- Drive remediation and mitigation activities, including root cause analysis and owning the design, tracking, and progress of action plans in partnership with internal business partners.
- Monitor, interpret, and assess security events generated by security tools, ensuring appropriate prioritization, escalation, and response to security issues.
- Investigate and analyze security alerts from endpoint protection, network security, and monitoring systems, ensuring alerts are appropriately triaged and addressed in accordance with organizational standards
- Monitor and analyze security findings and alerts from tools such as Qualys, Prisma
- Collaborate with Engineering and Infrastructure teams to improve security control
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity and /or information technology roles
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 3+ years of Risk Assurance/Compliance and or Information Security experience.
- 2+ years of Power BI data visualization experience to build dashboards and security scorecards that communicate risk posture and compliance trends.
- Strong understanding of security technical hardening standards such as CIS benchmark.
- Hands-on experience with Qualys, ServiceNow, PowerBI and/or similar tools
- Must be willing to work on a permanent night shift schedule (US Eastern Time Zone business hours)
- Must be willing to work on a hybrid setup in Quezon City (3 days a week onsite)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good understanding of security concepts and practical usage
- Good understanding of policy and data management
- Demonstrated track record of successfully executing projects emphasizing delivering results.
- Ability to effectively communicate governance, risk, and audit functions to executives.
- Familiarity with Governance Risk Compliance tools
