We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh RISK team at Marsh ASIA. This role will be based in Manila, Philippines. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Marsh RISK works with stakeholders across the organisation to discover, define, design and deliver data solutions that drive business impact. As a Data Engineer Solution Specialist, you will help curate high-quality data assets, build scalable data and analytics solutions, and work with business and technology stakeholders to turn complex data into practical insights and recommendations.

We will count on you to:

  • Curate, validate and maintain data quality standards across regional and global databases
  • Develop and maintain data models, pipelines and scripts that support analytics and reporting needs
  • Work with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, developers and architects to define requirements and shape scalable solutions
  • Carry out exploratory and statistical analysis to identify patterns, test assumptions and inform decision-making
  • Build and maintain analytical workflows from data ingestion through reporting and visualisation
  • Create reports, visualisations and documentation for technical and non-technical audiences, while maintaining security, integrity and business continuity controls
  • Develop algorithms to transform raw data into useful, actionable information. This involves cleaning, processing, and converting data into a format that can be easily analyzed.
  • Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures. This includes designing and implementing data pipelines that move data from source systems to data warehouses or data lakes.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics or related analytical roles
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data modelling, data mapping and ETL pipelines
  • Well-developed skills in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, experimental design and data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Qlik or Power BI
  • Proficiency with version control systems such as Git or SVN
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business audiences and work effectively across geographically dispersed teams
