How you’ll make an impact
Leverage your expertise in project finance, infrastructure finance, structured finance, private credit, investment banking, project development or commercial lending to originate, structure, negotiate and manage complex project finance transactions focused on Canadian agri-food processing, manufacturing and production projects.
As a Director, Project Finance, you’ll lead project finance opportunities from initial prospecting through closing while managing key relationships with sponsors, developers, investors, lenders, advisors and industry stakeholders. Your strong transaction structuring and negotiation expertise will enable you to lead due diligence, pricing, approvals and execution activities while coordinating internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll do
Originate and lead project finance opportunities from initial prospecting through closing
Play a leading role in establishing and growing a new team and capital deployment capability
Develop relationships with project sponsors, developers, investors, lenders, advisors and industry stakeholders
Lead due diligence, transaction structuring, pricing and negotiation activities
Sponsor and present credit recommendations through approval processes
Oversee transaction execution and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
Manage and grow a portfolio of project finance loan facilities
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to analysts and lending teams
Contribute to underwriting standards, market strategy and capability development
What you’ll bring to the team
Required qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, accounting, commerce or a related subject
Minimum 10 years of experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, structured finance, private credit, investment banking, project development or complex commercial lending (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Extensive knowledge of project finance, infrastructure finance, credit risk and portfolio oversight
Proven expertise in transaction structuring, syndications and negotiations
Demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder management and complex transaction execution
Preferred qualifications:
MBA, CFA or advanced finance qualification
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
