Employee Benefits Team Lead
This role will be based in Auckland. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We are looking for a senior Employee Benefits Specialist to lead a small team of consultants and manage a portfolio of clients in Auckland. In this role, you will help shape the client experience, support service delivery, and contribute to the growth and retention of the portfolio. You will work closely with internal teams and insurers to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
We will count on you to:
- Lead, coach and support a team of consultants, setting clear priorities and encouraging high-quality service delivery
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex client issues, complaints and revenue opportunities
- Manage a portfolio of employee benefits clients, building trusted relationships and anticipating client needs
- Oversee renewals, governance activities, claims management and new business implementation
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate service delivery, identify growth opportunities and support business development activity
- Maintain accurate records, reporting and client documentation, while meeting compliance and quality standards
What you need to have:
- Experience in employee benefits, insurance, broking or a related client management role
- Proven ability to lead, coach or support a small team
- Well-developed client relationship and account management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
