Jefferies is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Vice President to join its MENA Equity Research team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality research on publicly listed companies across the Middle East and North Africa, developing actionable investment recommendations, and engaging directly with institutional investors and corporate management teams.
Given the nature of the coverage universe and the requirement for frequent interaction with regional corporates, investors, and market participants, professional fluency in both Arabic and English is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of publicly listed companies across the MENA region.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, earnings forecasts, and valuation frameworks.
- Publish earnings notes, research reports, sector reviews, and thematic investment pieces.
- Generate differentiated stock ideas and investment recommendations.
- Monitor economic, political, regulatory, and sector developments impacting regional markets.
- Participate in management meetings, earnings calls, investor roadshows, and industry conferences.
- Present investment views to institutional investor clients across the region and globally.
- Work closely with Equity Sales, Trading, Corporate Access, and Investment Banking teams.
- Contribute to franchise-building initiatives and expansion of Jefferies' MENA research platform.
- Mentor and help develop junior analysts and associates where appropriate.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in Equity Research, Asset Management, Investment Banking, or a related analytical role.
- Understanding of MENA capital markets and regional economies.
- Advanced financial modelling, accounting, and valuation skills.
- Demonstrated experience covering listed equities and producing investment research.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently and network with senior management teams and institutional investors.
- Proven ability to identify and articulate compelling investment opportunities.
Mandatory Requirements
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyse Arabic-language company disclosures, earnings materials, and regulatory filings.
- Experience in interacting directly with Arabic-speaking corporate management teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA designation or progress towards the CFA program.
- Existing relationships with regional institutional investors and corporate management teams.
- Sector expertise in Financials, Industrials, Real Estate, Consumer, Healthcare, Energy, Technology, or Telecoms.
