Financial Controller (F/M)

Job Description

We are looking for a Controller to join our Greek finance team and take ownership of day-to-day controlling. You will combine hands-on controllership with close oversight of our operating assets, working closely with the finance manager and the headquarters finance and accounting team.

 

SPECIFIC TASKS AND DELIVERABLES:

 

• Own the daily bank reconciliation process and monitor cash balances to maintain full liquidity visibility.
• Support monthly and quarterly closing activities.
• Manage shareholder loan accounting, including balances, interest calculations and supporting documentation.
• Own the reconciliation framework in the ERP, ensuring ledgers, sub-ledgers and bank accounts are accurate and reconciled.
• Manage finance purchase orders.
• Maintain accounting and loan documentation.
• Run the day-to-day financial operation of operating assets: billing checks, invoicing, coordination with Energy Management, and updating production actuals and forecasts.
• Support payment approvals through internal portal.
• Perform ad hoc accounting and finance tasks.

Qualifications

Personal Experience and skills: 

• University Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• More than 5 years of experience in controlling, ideally in energy.
• Working experience with IFRS will be considered as a plus
• Familiarization with an ERP tool (SAP) is desirable
• Ability to respect deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Fluent in English
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Positive and learning attitude
