About the Team

The Future Ready Tech (FRT) department is primarily responsible for implementing and maintaining the bank's technology platforms, ensuring their reliability and resilience, while providing support for innovation and collaboration. The department is committed to enhancing customer experience through experimentation and partnerships with external collaborators, and strives to make DBS the best workplace.

 

Job Responsibilities

As an Application Developer within the Future Ready Tech (FRT) department, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative AI-driven software solutions. The FRT department is primarily responsible for implementing and maintaining the bank's technology platforms, with a main focus on GenAI applications, ensuring platform reliability and resilience while providing support for innovation and collaboration.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Software Development: Developing, testing, and deploying high-quality, scalable, and resilient applications for banking operations, utilizing modern programming languages and frameworks to enhance customer experience.

 

• Generative AI: Leading the development and integration of Generative AI (GenAI) models into banking applications, contributing to advanced analytical and predictive capabilities. This involves working with GenAI platforms and leveraging AI services to drive digital transformation.

 

• System Design and Architecture: Participating in the architectural design of new and existing AI-powered systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to best practices in terms of performance, security, and scalability.

 

• DevOps and CI/CD: Implementing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software delivery processes, ensuring efficient and reliable deployments.

 

• Collaboration: Working closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, product managers, and other developers to understand business needs and translate them into innovative technical solutions that support FRT's mission to make DBS the best workplace.

 

• Troubleshooting and Support: Providing technical support and troubleshooting for production issues, ensuring high availability and performance of critical banking systems.

 

• Documentation: Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for applications and systems.

 

• Innovation: Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in areas like AI, cloud computing, and fintech, through experimentation and partnerships with external collaborators to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the FRT team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient in Java8+ programming language and familiar with mainstream frameworks such as Spring Boot/Spring Cloud.

• Proficient in Python programming language.

• Experienced in CI/CD deployment processes and tools, with expertise in automated deployment.

• Experienced in Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.

• Familiar with Linux operating system and possess basic shell scripting skills.

• Familiar in and able to efficiently utilize various database technologies, including but not limited to: Elasticsearch (ES), MariaDB, and Redis.
