Full Stack Engineering Squad Lead, Structured Product, Wealth Management (AVP)new

DBS Tech China is hiring a deeply technical, hands-on engineering squad lead to drive key wealth management initiatives and investment journeys. This role is suited to a strong full stack engineer who can own a stream end to end, lead one or more engineering squads, and stay close to architecture, design, and implementation. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of modern wealth management platforms and investment journeys within your stream. 

• Act as a hands-on technical leader for one or more engineering squads, driving strong technical execution and engineering standards. 

• Develop and mentor engineering talent, foster a high-performing culture, and take ownership of career growth and retention for your team members. 

• Build and evolve full stack systems across a modern stack that includes Java, ReactJS. 

• Design scalable distributed solutions across microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and micro-frontend architectures. 

• Own solution design and engineering delivery for your area, ensuring alignment with broader platform and architecture direction. 

• Work closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to turn complex requirements into robust technical solutions. 

• Contribute directly to key design decisions, implementation approaches, and critical delivery paths. 

• Evaluate and apply modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development tooling, where they can improve speed, quality, and developer effectiveness. 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

• Strong experience building and delivering large-scale enterprise platforms in a hands-on engineering role. 

• Deep expertise in one or more of these core technologies: Java, ReactJS, Python, and Go, with strong full stack engineering capability. 

• Proven experience designing scalable, resilient, high-performance systems in customer-facing or transaction-heavy environments. 

• Strong architectural knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, and modern micro-frontend patterns. 

• Experience leading a stream or domain area while working closely with one or more engineering squads. 

• Strong experience building order management systems and execution management systems. 

• Strong domain experience in areas such as Bonds, Equities, FX, Structured Products, Funds, Digital Assets, or advisory domains such as portfolio construction, rebalancing, and risk management. 

• Experience in credit or banca domains is a plus. 

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and business teams. 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
