Job Description
Purpose of role
Support the delivery of accounting and financial reporting services across a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality client service, technical accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Lead and develop a team while overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements, management accounts, NAV calculations, tax returns, and other financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines and service standards are met.
- Review financial statements, management accounts, reconciliations, VAT returns, and other financial reporting deliverables.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee and prioritise team workloads, ensuring efficient delivery of client requirements.
- Provide coaching, guidance, performance feedback, and development support to team members.
- Support budgeting, resource planning, and internal performance reporting.
- Identify and escalate risks while ensuring adherence to Ocorian policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver accounting services to clients across multiple jurisdictions.
Information Security
- Comply with all information security policies and procedures.
- Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Ocorian, client, and employee information at all times.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Solid experience of Real Estate Structures. Exposure to Purpose-Built Student Accommodation desirable.
- Strong knowledge of current IFRS, FRS 102 reporting and experience in accounting for a range of institutional structures. Experience of US GAAP desirable (but not essential).
- Experience with eFront Navision and Value Financials/ Caseware desirable.
- Strong Excel and IT skills
- The post holder will hold an appropriate accounting qualification (e.g ACCA/ACA) or at the final stages of their exams
- Finance industry and/or accounting/auditing experience within or with exposure to institutional environment is ideal
