As a Fund Servicing Associate II in Fund Services Operations, you maintain accurate accounting and securities records for assigned funds while following prescribed controls and timelines. You investigate exceptions, analyze root causes, and resolve issues within established procedures and governance. You communicate clearly with stakeholders and coordinate actions to ensure timely completion and strong client outcomes. You plan and organize your work to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high quality. You contribute to improvements that enhance efficiency, resiliency, and control effectiveness.
Job responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting and securities records for assigned funds in line with prescribed controls.
- Reconcile accounting and securities activity and identify breaks, exceptions, and out-of-tolerance items.
- Investigate issues by performing root-cause analysis and validating supporting data and documentation.
- Resolve exceptions through timely follow-up, clear ownership, and appropriate escalation when needed.
- Execute operational procedures consistently to complete deliverables accurately and on time.
- Partner with operations, technology, product, and sales stakeholders to support issue resolution and service delivery.
- Document outcomes, key decisions, and required evidence to support a controlled operating environment.
- Identify process vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
- Support change initiatives by completing assigned testing, implementation tasks, and procedure updates.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Five years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or a closely related operations role.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining accurate accounting and securities records for funds or portfolios.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve out-of-tolerance breaks and exceptions using structured analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and consistent focus on data quality and control discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root cause and drive actions to closure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear, timely updates to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow documented procedures and operate within established risk and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications for analysis and reporting.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience supporting financial reporting, custody operations, or related fund servicing processes.
- Experience partnering across multiple functions to deliver outcomes and resolve complex operational issues.
- Experience supporting process improvement initiatives that strengthen controls and reduce operational risk.
- Experience participating in system changes, testing, or implementation activities within an operations environment.
