Job summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, seasoned senior executive to join and lead our Commercial and Investment Banking (CIB) Communications team in India. 

As the Head of Communications in the CIB Communications team in India, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the narrative of one of the world’s most respected financial institutions. The ideal candidate brings deep communications expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a strategic, stakeholder-oriented mindset.

Job responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned to the firm’s goals and objectives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for external, internal, and executive communications for the CIB business in India, ensuring message consistency and brand alignment.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders, anticipating needs and providing strategic counsel.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to strengthen the firm’s reputation through targeted communications.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of external communications materials, including press releases, media kits, and social media content.
  • Partner with teams across geographies and businesses to ensure communications efforts are integrated and aligned with broader business initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain crisis communication plans and manage potential reputational risks to safeguard the brand.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong expertise in media relations
  • Outstanding judgement 
  • Demonstrated people leadership and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, businesses, functions and cultures.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 15 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, preferably within financial services
