Job Description
The role is responsible for financial planning, business performance analysis, strategic decision support, expense management, and the delivery of actionable insights that support the organization's medium and long-term objectives.
The incumbent will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology, and Business Leadership to identify growth opportunities, manage risks, optimize financial performance, and drive execution of strategic initiatives.
- Lead financial reviews with the Head of Travel on monthly basis. Provide leading indicators and facilitate discussion on Opportunities and Risks to the medium and long-term financial outlook.
- Lead financial reviews with the respective function leaders, travel operations, supplier management, product & marketing and sales
- Effective expense management through maintaining a highly disciplined expense management process
- Drive strategic projects, provide coordination and oversight for key initiatives
- Monitor and report (in conjunction with Finance) to Business profitability and overall business performance and progress against plans throughout coordination of periodic business reviews and scorecards for various business lines
- Ensure key project, strategic and tactical initiatives and management information reports are developed, tracked and delivered on time with an assessment of progress analysis
- Develop processes and measurements to improve accountability and execution across functions
- Support ongoing planning process for the travel business by helping to identify new sources of revenue and manage projects to deliverable measurable results
- Create business presentations and manage the development of market review by taking a lead role in coordinating and gathering data, analyzing trends through collaboration and input across all functions
- Proven experience in developing winning strategies using financial and other commercial information to identify business opportunities
- Demonstrate customer focus with the ability to anticipate customer needs and seek opportunities to improve existing business
- Ability to drive innovation and change
- Understanding of operational and technology solutions and issues that impact client value propositions
- Communicates effectively to both an internal and external audience
Requirements
- 12-15+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership position.
- Proven experience leading FP&A, business finance, commercial finance, or finance business partnering functions.
- Strong track record of influencing business strategy through financial insights and commercial analysis.
- Experience supporting senior executives and managing complex stakeholder environments.
- Prior experience in financial services, banking, travel, consumer, technology, or other fast-paced commercial environments is advantageous.
Technical Competencies
- Strong financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management capabilities.
- Advanced financial modelling and business case evaluation skills.
- Solid understanding of profitability management, revenue drivers, and cost optimization strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Experience with financial systems, BI tools, dashboards, and data analytics platforms.
