Looking to make a deep impact in increasing Home Ownership and setting the strategy for Home Lending product growth?
As the Strategic and Product Analytics lead in Home Lending Origination Product, you will be able to influence the forward path of mortgage and home equity product offerings and will be given ownership of the analytical framework and challenge process to move the product prioritization. This role offers great opportunity to solution customer and process pain points and champion meaningful business growth.
The Strategic and Product Analytics Lead in Home Lending Origination Product is responsible for all aspects of analysis, data-based prioritization, and effective challenge of the Home Lending Origination product and guideline solutions that bring value to the organization and our customers throughout their lifecycle. You will participate in the development of the product strategy, including providing economic and financial analysis, and managing relationships with Business Partners, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Fair Lending, Agency Relations, Capital Markets and Finance to achieve the goals of Home Lending Leadership team. Each day will offer a continued opportunity to provide real-world solutions for complex business and customer issues with a focus on the strategic value and setting a prioritization informed by thoughtful data-based analysis. This role comes with the unique ability to affect both short term business results and influence the long-term organization success by balancing the product trade-offs and allowing for deeper focus on current state priorities.
Job responsibilities
- Adhere to a standard strategic data-led analysis and challenge framework for Product and Innovation initiative review
- Provide analytical and subject matter-based support in business case development and be able to present and articulate findings in various business settings
- Partner with key stakeholders to evaluate new concepts and proposals and lead the risk data partnership and challenge process
- Understand and recognize the need for product improvements needed to create and maintain a best in class offering
- Determine any operational, legal, compliance, pricing, delivery, or other risks that must be addressed and interface with the necessary parties to ensure acceptable solutions
- Understand inter-dependencies between multiple variables and be able to quickly consider tradeoffs and impact of decisions
- Manage book of work prioritization process and communication with partners and management
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience in mortgage banking, similar consumer lending products, or bond-market based roles;
- Subject matter expertise in strategic analysis, data analysis, finance or home lending products
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven ability to create business case-based analytics especially in a products or project setting; ability to complete robust data analysis that is peer review ready
- Excellent verbal communication skills, frequent communication with senior leadership is required
- Excellent written presentation skills for producing executive level presentation material
- Conflict resolution, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to own risk and control agenda
- Awareness of industry and competitors and impact of both on business
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Ability to self-serve data analytics and comfort in manipulating large-scale data sources
- Master’s degree
- Familiarity with market tends and relationship between economic drivers and mortgage origination dynamics
- Capability to produce cash flow modeling and bond-market mathematics and apply to product solutions
