Why Join

Be part of the team driving digital transformation and innovation across Consumer Financial Services. As a GCFS Digital Transformation Intern, you’ll support initiatives that simplify processes and improve efficiency through automation and re‑engineering. This internship offers hands-on exposure to how digital tools such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI are used to transform business operations at scale.

How you succeed

You’ll excel in this role if you have a strong interest in digital solutions, automation, and process improvement. You enjoy analysing how things work, breaking down problems, and designing better ways of working. Being curious, analytical, and willing to experiment with technology will help you gain the most from this experience.

What you do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Process Analysis & Design: analyse current (“as-is”) processes and design target (“to-be”) process flows using process mapping and value stream mapping techniques
• Automation Development: build automation solutions using Robotic Process Automation (UiPath) and integrate with AI tools such as Copilot where applicable
• Process Re‑engineering: support business process simplification and re‑engineering initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Digital Enablement: assist in documenting requirements, testing automated solutions, and refining designs based on user feedback

Who you work with

You’ll be part of the GCFS Digital Business & Transformation team, which partners closely with business units to drive innovation, streamline operations, and enable digital capabilities across Consumer Financial Services. You’ll work alongside transformation and technology professionals who combine business understanding with digital expertise to deliver meaningful change.

Who you are

• A Polytechnic student with an interest in digital transformation, automation, or technology
• Curious, analytical, and comfortable learning new tools
• Familiar with or keen to explore AI and automation technologies
• Able to think logically and translate ideas into structured process flows
• A team player with clear communication skills

Learning Objectives

This internship will provide you with:

• Hands-on experience in automation and process simplification using RPA tools such as UiPath
• Exposure to business process re‑engineering methods and frameworks
• Practical skills in analysing, designing, and documenting process flows
• Opportunities to apply AI and scripting skills in real business use cases
• Insight into how digital transformation initiatives are conceptualised and implemented in a banking environment
