The EMEA Media & Communications Advisory team comprises professionals with strong client relationships across a broad range of leading companies. The team is seeking an Associate to join its London-based team.
As an Associate in the Investment Banking EMEA Media & Communications Advisory team, you will play an important role in supporting senior bankers on strategic client engagements and the execution of M&A and capital markets transactions. You will work closely with Analysts, Associates and senior team members, while partnering with colleagues across product and industry teams, including M&A, ECM and DCM. The role offers significant exposure to clients, hands-on transaction experience, continuous mentoring and excellent development opportunities within a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Job responsibilities
- Perform detailed valuation analysis, including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables and LBO analysis
- Support transaction execution, project management and day-to-day client coverage activities
- Conduct transaction structuring, merger and financial analysis
- Prepare client presentations, board materials, memoranda and other materials used in corporate finance transactions and strategic client discussions
- Work closely with senior bankers and client management teams in the execution of transactions and evaluation of strategic alternatives
- Assist in the development and coaching of junior team members
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Prior Investment Banking or Corporate Finance experience, ideally within the Media, Telecoms, Communications and/or Digital Infrastructure sectors
- Strong analytical, financial modelling and valuation skills
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Highly motivated, adaptable and able to work effectively in a team environment
This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
