Our EMEA Technology M&A team combines deep sector expertise with global connectivity to deliver outcomes that shape our clients' futures. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to advise Technology clients on M&A transactions across EMEA.
Job Summary
As a member of the EMEA Technology M&A team, you will play a critical role in originating and executing M&A transactions, partnering closely with industry and country coverage teams and other product teams across the bank. Working alongside expert senior bankers, you will contribute to high-profile transactions from day one, developing strong functional skills across the major areas of investment banking.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive origination and execution of transactions from launch to signing, including preparation of marketing materials, financial modelling and analysis, due diligence review, and preparation of other transaction materials, working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Support origination by preparing pitch materials, screening potential targets, and monitoring sector developments and live situations
- Develop content for strategic client meetings on M&A transactions, including sell side, buy side, and defence mandates
- Perform detailed valuation analysis and model transaction structures, return profiles, and scenarios to assess optimal terms and economics for clients
- Design bespoke sale processes and support end-to-end transaction execution alongside internal partners and external advisers
- Prepare comprehensive client materials including pitch books, board presentations, business plans, due diligence outputs, and marketing documents
- Manage communication with clients, counterparties, and other advisers throughout the transaction process
- Take on significant responsibility due to the team's high deal flow and flat hierarchical structure
- Partner closely with JPM industry, country, and product teams to deliver integrated advice
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, transaction developments, and technology innovations

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Technology M&A experience is required
- Demonstrated technical ability and overall corporate finance proficiency
- University degree with a strong academic record; Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative fields preferred but not required
- Strong accounting, quantitative, and business writing skills
- Understanding of the M&A transaction cycle and process steps
- Ability to take ownership of transactions, with significant exposure to clients, other third-party advisers, and counterparties
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals, clients, and stakeholders across other lines of business
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage time appropriately across competing demands, working effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong team orientation, integrity, and client service mindset
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Prior internship or full-time experience in M&A, corporate finance, private equity, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in and/or exposure to the technology sector
- Proficiency in a European language (in addition to English) is desirable but not mandatory
- Familiarity with AI and productivity tools, and the ability to leverage them thoughtfully to enhance, not replace, analytical judgement and commercial reasoning

The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
