We’re looking for an Investment Operations Specialist to join our Insurance Operations team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to handle clients' accounts including but not limited to account set up & maintenance, deposits, withdrawal requests that are received through signed paperwork, email, and fax, which are then processed and entered in the system.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate settlement of private placement, private debt, private equity, and alternative investment transactions.
  • Coordinate with custodians, investment teams, and external counterparties to support seamless transaction processing and minimize service disruptions.
  • Process cash movements, security transfers, income allocations, and related transactions in accordance with contractual agreements and established procedures.
  • Monitor payment schedules, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate posting of income, redemptions, and adjustments.
  • Maintain strong operational controls, support SOX compliance requirements, and assist with internal and external audit activities.
  • Analyze operational processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, risk management, and client service delivery.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting critical deadlines and evolving business requirements.
  • Provide knowledge sharing, training, and functional support to team members while contributing to continuous learning initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in investment operations, private placements, alternative investments, or other complex asset classes.
  • 3+ years of experience processing investment transactions, reconciliations, settlements, and cash management activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of private debt, private equity, settlement processes, and investment operational controls.
  • Amenable for fixed night shift

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting private debt, private equity, alternative investments, or custody operations.
  • Knowledge of SOX controls, audit support activities, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders, custodians, investment managers, and external counterparties.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex operational issues.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or progress toward obtaining an industry-recognized designation are an asset.
