Java React and Oracle Developer - Assistant Vice Presidentnew

Role overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Applications Development Programmer Analyst to join our global Technology team. In this collaborative role, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of robust, high-performance software applications. Utilizing your expertise in Java, React, and Oracle database technologies, you will solve complex technical challenges, optimize system functionality, and deliver high-quality solutions that support our core business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Full-stack development: Design, build, and maintain responsive front-end user interfaces using React and secure, scalable back-end services using Java.

• Database management: Design, optimize, and maintain relational database schemas, complex queries, and stored procedures within Oracle databases.

• Software development lifecycle: Participate actively in all phases of the development process, including systems analysis, technical design, coding, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support.

• Systems analysis and planning: Conduct feasibility studies, prepare time and cost estimates, and contribute to risk technology and IT planning initiatives.

• Security and compliance: Recommend and implement robust security measures during system design and post-implementation reviews to safeguard client and firm assets.

• Collaboration and consulting: Partner with business users, clients, and cross-functional technology groups to analyze requirements, recommend advanced programming solutions, and resolve technical issues.

• Mentorship: Serve as a technical advisor and coach to junior analysts, promoting best practices and fostering team growth.

• Risk management: Appropriately assess risk when making technical and business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations.

Technical skills and qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in software applications programming and systems analysis.

• Front-end expertise: Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end build tools.

• Back-end expertise: Deep understanding of Java, Spring Boot, or equivalent back-end frameworks, and microservices architecture.

• Database expertise: Solid hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning.

• Methodologies: Working knowledge of software development methodologies, project management techniques, and systems analysis.

• Problem solving: Proven ability to analyze complex technical problems, exercise independent judgment, and deliver under tight deadlines.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
