Job Summary
This position oversees the digital payment services & digital platform for the Wealth and Retail Banking Hong Kong. The goal is to ensure the Bank maintains its leadership position in driving the growth and usage of the digital payment via the mobile app and web channel, continue to introduce new features to enrich the overall retail customer digital payment journey, and maintain a stable digital platform via robust release management and optimize the customer journey.
• Lead the end-to-end digital payment strategy, transformation, and performance for Wealth & Retail Banking Hong Kong.
• Own the vision, roadmap, and commercial outcomes for all digital payment capabilities (e.g. P2P, wallets, FPS, cross-border, merchant payments), ensuring alignment with bank-wide digital strategy and Group priorities.
• Drive market leadership in digital payments by accelerating adoption, usage, and innovation across mobile and web channels, while delivering a differentiated, seamless, and secure customer experience.
• Act as the senior accountable executive for digital payment growth, ecosystem partnerships, regulatory engagement, and risk governance in Hong Kong.
• Build and lead a high-performing payments team and foster strong collaboration across Product, Technology, Risk, Operations, and Analytics to deliver at scale and speed.
• To oversee the Digital Platform Team, which works closely with the Group and Country Technology Team on the release and change management, to meet the latest technology standards stipulated by the Group and the regulators.
• Keep abreast of the latest market trends and new capabilities, proactively identify areas of opportunities for digitalization. Work with the Group Digital Team on prioritization and implementation.

• Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association (or equivalent)

Qualifications
• 15+ years of relevant experience, with significant leadership exposure in digital, payments, and retail banking
• Proven track record in defining strategy and delivering large-scale digital initiatives & features
• Deep expertise in HK and international payment landscape (e.g. FPS, SWIFT, RTGS, card schemes, wallets, cross-border payments).
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience in driving growth, adoption, and monetisation.
• Experience in managing digital platform, and familiar with the upstream and downstream systems.
• Familiar with authentication solutions an advantage.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels, influencing senior stakeholders while driving delivery.
• Strong understanding of regulatory, risk, and control requirements in payments.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive change in a large organisation.
