As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorganChase within the [insert LOB or sub LOB], you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.
Job responsibilities
- Ensure reliable & secure patch and software deployment to ~70,000 devices in our Retail Branches minimal interruption of service to our customers.
- Drive workstreams or projects consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies, with a primary focus on enterprise software deployment.
- Architect and implement changes across platforms to resolve issues and modernize technology processes.
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative solutions for complex technical problems.
- Lead automation initiatives using scripting/programming (Python, PowerShell, .NET) and utilizing GitHub/CoPilot AI/Agentic AI to fully automate software delivery and operational solutions.
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
- Consider upstream/downstream data, systems, and technical implications; advise on mitigation actions.
- Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable/auditable and aligned to resiliency and security expectations.
- Ensure automated software and security delivery/updates for enterprise platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance excellence.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, software deployment, or related fields.
- Deep knowledge of three or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as: deployment practices, automation + hardware, networking, databases, integration, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments.
- Experienced knowledge of infrastructure technology and scripting/programming languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell, .NET, etc.)
- Proven experience leveraging AI and agentic AI to automate and develop enterprise software delivery solutions.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies, with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Demonstrated ability to develop technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of the product domain.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to execute creative solutions for technical challenges.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience deploying enterprise software solutions in large-scale environments.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar change management and automation tools.
- Experience with Dynatrace or Splunk
- Familiarity with security best practices for enterprise software delivery.
- Experience leading automation projects using AI/agentic AI.
- Advanced certifications in infrastructure engineering, cloud technologies, AI, SRE, or Software deployment tools.
