• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) or advanced degree may be preferred, though not universally expected
• Equivalent work experience equally preferable
CERTIFICATIONS
• Dependent on regional requirements:
• Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 79
• Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 24
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
• Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or comparable credit-risk credential
• Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II) registration
• Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) Type 1 and Type 6 licensing
WORK EXPERIENCE
• Demonstrated client-facing or execution experience with independent deal or project accountability
• Financial or other highly regulated industry experience
• Experience originating, structuring, pricing, executing, and distributing financing and capital solutions across debt, equity, hybrid, syndicated, and structured products
• Experience advising clients on capital structure, liability management, and credit rating strategy
• Experience with cross-border transactions and global investor coverage preferred
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
• Advanced expertise in origination, structuring, pricing, and distribution of financing and capital solutions across debt (loans and bonds), equity, hybrid, and structured products
• Proven expertise in liability management execution, including tender offers, consent solicitations, and exchange offers
• Deep expertise in preferred stock, convertible bond, and hybrid capital instrument structuring, including rating-agency and regulatory-capital treatment
• Advanced proficiency in syndication, distribution, and secondary loan trading across bank and institutional investor channels
• Extensive knowledge of credit agreements, indentures, covenants, intercreditor dynamics, and security arrangements
• Sophisticated understanding of credit rating agency methodologies and capital structure optimization
• In-depth expertise in pricing strategy, allocation, and risk-adjusted return calibration
• Refined judgment in market intelligence, portfolio analytics, and investor-demand assessment
• Thorough understanding of regulatory, information-barrier, and securities-law requirements across jurisdictions
• Advanced proficiency in Bloomberg, Debt domain, orderbook management (Ipreo or equivalent) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Leads structuring, pricing, execution, and distribution of financing and capital solutions across debt (loans and bonds), equity, hybrid, and structured products
• Originates and develops client relationships and financing solutions aligned with client capital objectives
• Directs syndication, placement, and secondary market trading, aligning distribution with market appetite
• Advises clients on capital structure optimization, liability management, and credit rating strategy across debt instruments
• Negotiates final pricing, terms, and allocations in collaboration with origination, credit, syndicate, and risk partners
• Manages liability management transactions, including tender offers, consent solicitations, and exchange offers, from launch through close
• Represents the firm in client, investor, and rating agency dialogue on assigned mandates
• Drives allocation frameworks, bookbuilding approaches, and investor engagement plans tailored to transaction objectives
• Directs resolution of complex structuring, documentation, tabulation, and execution issues during live transactions
• Leads coordination with origination, credit, legal, syndicate, and operations teams through closing and post-close activities
• Manages market intelligence, portfolio analytics, and competitor monitoring to inform structuring and timing decisions
• Advises junior team members and reviews analytical work products for quality and accuracy
• Ensures adherence to underwriting policies, regulatory requirements, and conduct standards across transactions
The typical base pay range for this role is between $200-225K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
