Business Bank (BB) offers a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium, enterprise, regional and agribusiness customers.

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Broker Channel Development & Governance, you'll join the Broker, Agency & Specialist Services (BASS) team and play an important role in supporting the governance, integrity and continuous improvement of our third-party channels.

 

This is a unique opportunity to combine investigations, governance, risk management and business improvement, while working across a broad range of stakeholders and strategic initiatives.

 

Do work that matters

As the Manager, Third Party Conduct & Governance, you'll help strengthen our oversight of third-party distribution channels through investigations, governance activities, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify emerging risks, support governance frameworks and deliver initiatives that improve customer, risk and business outcomes.

 

More specifically, you'll:

  • Conduct investigations and reviews into conduct, compliance and risk-related matters.
  • Support the development and ongoing enhancement of third-party governance and oversight frameworks.
  • Assist with the management of Third Party Watchlists and related monitoring activities.
  • Analyse trends and provide insights that support risk-based decision making.
  • Prepare reporting and materials for governance forums and leadership stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and ways of working.
  • Support audits, change initiatives and broader risk management activities.
  • Contribute to strategic projects and business improvement initiatives across the third-party channel.
  • Assist with the management of team resources, documentation, systems and operational processes.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities, including events and third-party initiatives.
  • Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing team culture where people are supported to do their best work.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Experience in investigations, risk, compliance, governance, audit, business improvement or related disciplines within financial services.
  • Strong financial services experience, including exposure to sales, risk or distribution channels.
  • A proven track record driving business improvement initiatives and contributing to strong customer and business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational, planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Sound commercial acumen together with operational risk and compliance knowledge.
  • Knowledge of banking products, systems and customer distribution channels.
  • Strong analytical capability, including experience using data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience leveraging data, automation, AI tools or emerging technologies to improve efficiency, decision-making and business performance.
