Be the catalyst for expansion as you pioneer product growth, shape market strategy, and ensure compliance across the CRE franchise.
As a Market and Product Expansion Vice President in Commercial Real Estate (“CRE”), you will be accountable for executing a long-term strategy that enables market growth, improves sales productivity, and supports product expansion. This role sits at the intersection of business leadership, sales, product, technology, data and controls, with a mandate to create clarity from complexity and deliver outcomes through influence. As a senior member of the Market and Product Expansion team, you will work across the organization and with Senior Leadership to drive the product, market and sales enablement strategy, and to ensure regulatory requirements are embedded in product delivery and go-to-market.
Job responsibilities
- Define and execute the market and product expansion roadmap across CRE, aligned to business priorities including market growth, product expansion, and sales enablement
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and client behavior to identify opportunities for product improvements across CRE, and translate insights into actionable commercial strategy
- Lead firmwide collaboration with multiple JPM CRE partners through in-market strategic coordination to increase client relevance and enhance our #1 market position
- Drive the business-side development of tools that improve sales effectiveness: CRM systems and dashboards, pipeline and performance reporting, and sales pitch and implementation materials tailored to specific markets
- Direct the use of CRE sales data across the JPM platform — existing internal CRE data, third-party data, and JPM firmwide data — into a usable form for sharp client pitches and higher sales wins
- Define and enforce data standards (definitions, system connectivity, credit & profitability hierarchies) to ensure consistency across CRM, pipeline reporting, performance dashboards, and client analytics.
- Partner with product, technology, and project management teams to translate business feedback and pain points into deliverables that improve sales effectiveness, client targeting, and executive decision making
- Establish and monitor a disciplined KPI and performance management framework for CRE expansion initiatives, including standardized reporting, leading indicators, and executive-ready scorecards that tie activity to commercial outcomes
- Ensure regulatory readiness and control alignment by owning the defined regulatory testing procedures and confirming our products meet regulatory requirements prior to release
- Lead the development and ongoing maintenance of the product’s risk and compliance model, partnering with risk and compliance stakeholders to support evidence, traceability, and audit outcomes
- Identify structural inefficiencies in regulatory testing and go-to-market processes and drive sustainable process redesign, automation, and simplification — prioritizing controls, scalability, and user adoption
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 7+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate with extensive knowledge of the real estate industry and corresponding debt markets (Bank, Life Cos, Agency, CMBS, Alternative Lenders)
- Demonstrated ability to partner with heads of business and senior stakeholders, translating commercial priorities into a delivery roadmap with clear outcomes, milestones, and adoption targets
- Strong financial modeling capabilities, particularly in Microsoft Excel; ability to analyze CRE market data and communicate concise and valuable insights to Senior Management
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to drive efficiencies, accelerate decision-making, and scale execution across sales, product, and reporting workflows
- Executive communication and presentation skills, with strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the ability to present complex topics clearly to drive decisions
- Working knowledge of risk management, controls, regional and local nuances, governance processes, and regulatory expectations relevant to product expansion
- Track record of leading cross-functional delivery with multiple partners, including requirements definition, prioritization trade-offs, and change adoption
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in real estate investment banking, commercial brokerage, real estate private equity, or a closely related CRE advisory or principal investing role
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing KPI frameworks, performance scorecards, and self-serve analytics for sales and client outcomes
- Experience working across CRM and pipeline reporting ecosystems, including standardized definitions, process controls, and adoption programs
