Job Description

The Opportunity

The RBC Small Business Marketing team is hiring a Marketing Manager who can understand the aspirations and challenges of small business owners and can turn insights into campaigns that connect and drive results.

This is a unique role that intersects segment and product marketing. You’ll develop and execute direct-to-consumer strategies through integrated mass digital campaigns that strengthen our leadership in Canadian small business banking. This is a hands-on role: you’ll brief agencies, align stakeholders, navigate reviews and approvals, and keep timelines on track. You’re comfortable with the details and confident with the big picture.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can navigate a complex matrix organization with ease, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

Drive Integrated Campaigns

  • Support end-to-end campaign development and execution—from creative and media briefs through to activation. You’ll manage timelines, coordinate with agencies, and ensure flawless delivery.

Build Strong Partnerships

  • Foster collaborative relationships across the organization and with external agencies. Keep everyone aligned, informed, and moving forward together.

Navigate Stakeholder Dynamics

  • Secure timely approvals from business partners, senior executives and legal teams. Present effectively to diverse audiences—from creative agencies to leadership.

Track Performance & Drive Insights

  • Monitor campaign metrics, analyze results, and contribute insights that demonstrate impact and inform future strategies.

Manage Budgets

  • Support end-to-end budget management, including monthly forecasting, tracking, and reconciliation.

Must Have

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience in integrated campaign management, brand marketing, or segment marketing

  • Deep understanding of small business segments and their customer journey

  • Proven track record managing integrated campaigns and successful launches

  • Experience working collaboratively with creative and media agencies

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

  • Outstanding communication skills—written and verbal—with the ability to influence and secure approvals

  • Natural collaborator who builds positive relationships across teams

  • Comfortable working with data and analytics to measure success

  • Ability to lead and adapt in ambiguous situations and drive outcomes

  • University or college degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field

Nice to Have

  • Previous B2B marketing experience

  • Track record working effectively in cross-functional teams

  • Experience working in a matrix organization
