As a Media Manager, you'll play an important role in helping Nationwide deliver effective, customer focused and responsible paid media campaigns. Working closely with senior media colleagues, agency partners and stakeholders across marketing, product and digital teams, you'll support the planning, delivery and optimisation of media activity that helps achieve our business objectives.
You'll help ensure campaigns are managed in line with regulatory, compliance and brand requirements, while using performance data and insight to support informed decision making and continuous improvement. As part of a collaborative and fast paced team, you'll contribute to the smooth running of media activity, helping to deliver campaigns that reach the right audiences, drive measurable outcomes and create better experiences for our customers.
This role would suit someone with a genuine interest in paid media, strong attention to detail and a naturally analytical approach. You'll enjoy working with data, building relationships across teams and contributing to a structured environment where quality, governance and customer outcomes are at the heart of everything we do.
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.
For this job you'll be located at our nearest regional office or hub. There will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration and in some locations you’ll be expected to spend at least two days a week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, in the office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.
If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.
What you’ll be doing
A typical day could involve reviewing the performance of live paid media campaigns across a range of channels, monitoring key metrics and identifying opportunities to improve results or optimise spend. You'll support campaign delivery by coordinating creative assets, checking tracking and measurement is working as expected, and helping to ensure the necessary approvals are in place before activity goes live.
You'll maintain reporting dashboards and campaign documentation, providing accurate data, insights and updates to colleagues across marketing, product and digital teams. Working alongside agency partners and senior media colleagues, you'll contribute to media planning activity, help respond to stakeholder queries and support the ongoing management of campaigns throughout their lifecycle.
Whether you're monitoring performance, gathering insight, supporting campaign set up or helping to keep projects on track, you'll play an important part in ensuring media activity is delivered efficiently, meets business objectives and provides the best possible outcomes for customers.
About you
As a minimum you’ll have:
Experience supporting digital or paid media campaigns, gained within an agency, brand or publisher environment
Experience using performance data and reporting tools, such as Excel, Power BI or analytics dashboards, to identify trends and generate insights
Strong attention to detail when handling campaign data, coordinating assets, validating tracking requirements and managing approval processes
Experience working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to support the delivery of shared objectives
Experience managing multiple priorities, maintaining accurate documentation and delivering work to agreed deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience providing updates and information to a range of stakeholders
A demonstrable interest in digital media and marketing, with a commitment to developing knowledge and skills within a structured or regulated environment
