You will shape the strategic roadmap and deliver large, cross-functional initiatives that modernize platforms and product solutions
As a Vice President in Cross Border Payments, you will lead a firmwide strategic program focused on cross-border FX. This role sits within the Payments Rails Product Delivery Strategy & Governance team and operates at the intersection of strategy, product, and execution—translating complex business priorities into clear execution plans and driving stakeholder alignment across multiple lines of business and corporate functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead firmwide strategic program end-to-end, managing scope, timelines, executive decisioning, and delivery outcomes.
- Drive stakeholder alignment across lines of business, corporate functions, and enterprise stakeholders; translate priorities into executable plans and sequenced roadmaps.
- Establish and run governance forums and operating routines, including milestone management, integrated reporting, escalation pathways, and accountability.
- Develop and maintain executive-ready strategic narratives for platform modernization and cross-border FX enablement, including trade-offs, options, and recommendations for MD/C-suite audiences.
- Define program success measures and KPIs aligned to organizational goals; deliver concise, actionable insights and progress reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Build business cases and support funding/investment decisions, including value articulation, cost/benefit framing, and benefits-realization tracking.
- Identify and proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate with clear options, impacts, and recommended paths forward.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience leading strategic programs and/or transformation initiatives in complex, cross-functional, matrixed organizations
- Strategy background (e.g., management consulting, corporate strategy, product strategy) with demonstrated ability to shape executive decisions and portfolio roadmaps.
- Proven ability to manage tight timelines while maintaining disciplined control of scope, risks, and dependencies.
- Strong stakeholder management and influence skills across levels, including senior leadership; strong facilitation and decision-driving capability.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complexity into clear, structured, executive-ready narratives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and AI tooling to accelerate analysis and storyline development.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Domain knowledge in cross-border payments and FX (e.g., payment flows, settlement concepts, correspondent banking, payment corridors, liquidity implications; familiarity with FX pricing/hedging considerations).
- Experience in data, analytics, and/or digital product delivery within large-scale organizations.
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in financial services.
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
- Experience facilitating structured workshops to drive alignment, decisions, and measurable outcomes.
