Job Summary:
As a Principal Architect at JPMorganChase within the Infrastructure Platforms Hosting Capability Framework (HCF) team, you will own the end-to-end architecture of HCF across Public and Private Cloud. You will define and govern standardized hosting models, stacks, and patterns, ensuring robust security and risk controls. Your role spans technical leadership, hands-on design, and architecture governance, supporting delivery across 45 Infrastructure Platforms products, 22+ countries, and 100+ regulators. You will partner with product, engineering, and platform teams to translate business strategy into actionable technical roadmaps. Your leadership will inspire and mentor teams, driving innovation and excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Architects standardized, classification-driven hosting models, stacks, and reusable patterns
  • Defines and governs datacentre hosting patterns including Hyperscale, Regional, In-Country, and Edge and enforces default, classification-specific security controls and Risk & Trust capabilities
  • Drives multi-cloud portability strategy across core platform capabilities and AWS-native alternatives
  • Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and advanced applied experience
  • Extensive hands-on software and systems architecture experience at a senior level, with a track record of delivering large-scale, mission-critical systems
  • Expertise in hosting and datacentre architecture across Public and Private Cloud
  • Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective enterprise hosting platforms, and embedding architecture guidance and validation into engineering workflows
  • Experience with horizontal Risk & Trust capabilities: Isolation, Zero Trust, Data Access, Data Residency, and Segmentation
  • Practical proficiency with AI-assisted development and coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)
  • Experience with architecture-as-code frameworks such as FINOS CALM or similar
  • Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into scalable platforms while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements.
  • Ability to design and build architecture governance automation tools
  • Senior technical leadership and team mentoring skills coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
