About your role:

As a Jira Engineer/PMO Lead, you will lead the design, administration, and optimization of Jira-based delivery workflows that support program governance, execution visibility, and operational consistency. You will work with technology, product, program management office (PMO), and business stakeholders to improve planning, reporting, and process automation. Your work will help strengthen delivery governance, improve cross-functional transparency, and enable scalable execution across complex programs.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the configuration, administration, and ongoing optimization of Jira to support project delivery, portfolio governance, and program management office processes.
  • Design and maintain workflows, issue types, screens, permissions, automations, dashboards, and reporting structures aligned to delivery and governance requirements.
  • Partner with PMO, engineering, product, and business teams to translate program and reporting needs into scalable Jira and process solutions.
  • Define and implement standards for Jira usage, data quality, governance, and workflow consistency across teams and programs.
  • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks, dashboards, and metrics that provide actionable visibility into delivery health, risks, dependencies, and program performance.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying manual activities, streamlining workflows, and implementing automation that improves efficiency and control.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support portfolio planning, dependency management, change tracking, and milestone reporting through Jira-based solutions.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting, user support, and administration for Jira configurations, permissions, workflows, and operational issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation, governance guides, and training materials for platform use, reporting standards, and operational processes.
  • Evaluate and support integrations between Jira and related tools such as Confluence, service management tools, reporting platforms, or other enterprise systems.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 12+ years of experience in Jira engineering, Jira administration, PMO tooling, delivery operations, or similar roles supporting enterprise program execution.
  • 12+ years of experience designing and administering workflows, permissions, dashboards, automations, and reporting solutions in Jira or similar work management platforms.
  • Experience supporting PMO governance, portfolio reporting, delivery metrics, dependency management, and program controls in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience translating business and delivery requirements into scalable system configurations, workflow designs, and operational reporting structures.
  • Experience with process improvement, workflow automation, and governance controls that improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and delivery transparency.
  • Experience supporting integrations between Jira and related collaboration, reporting, or service management platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence or Jira Service Management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise PMO functions in financial services, payments, or technology environments.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, or marketplace applications used to extend Jira platform capabilities.
  • Atlassian certification or equivalent platform administration credential.

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
