About the Role Are you looking to build a career in procurement, sourcing, or commercial management? We're looking for a Procurement Category Coordinator to join our team and help shape how we buy services across the business. Working alongside experienced Procurement and Category Managers, you'll gain hands-on experience managing sourcing projects, working with suppliers, analysing spend, and supporting business stakeholders. You'll develop a strong understanding of commercial decision making while helping to deliver value across a wide range of areas, including HR, Marketing, Facilities, Professional Services, Travel, and Events. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who is keen to develop commercial skills, build relationships across the business, and grow within a strategic procurement environment. You'll have ownership of your own projects while receiving support, training, and development from a collaborative team. What You'll Be Doing Supporting sourcing and procurement projects across a range of services and indirect spend categories. Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify the best sourcing approaches. Conducting market research and spend analysis to help find opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Assisting with supplier selection activities, including RFx processes, supplier evaluations, and commercial assessments. Supporting contract renewals and supplier management activities. Building positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across the business. Monitoring supplier performance and helping ensure agreed service levels are achieved. Supporting supplier risk management and compliance activities. Maintaining accurate procurement records, contracts, and reporting information. Learning and applying procurement best practices, governance requirements, and regulatory standards. About You You may already have some experience in procurement, commercial, supplier management, purchasing, finance, operations, or a related business function. We're looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and enjoys solving problems. You'll be comfortable analysing information, working with different people, and developing practical solutions that balance business needs and commercial value. Most importantly, you'll be keen to learn, develop new skills, and build a successful career in procurement. Who we're looking for: Essential Criteria: A degree, apprenticeship, internship, placement year, or some professional experience in procurement, business, finance, supply chain, commercial, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. An interest in commercial decision-making, procurement, and supplier management. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Desirable Skills: Exposure to procurement, sourcing, purchasing, contracts, supplier management, or commercial activities through work experience, internships, placements, or previous employment. Experience using procurement or sourcing systems. Working towards, or interested in pursuing, a CIPS qualification. Experience conducting research, analysing data, or presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
