Your Role
The Research and Development team is responsible for testing and de-risking new clinical care models before they are scaled across BSC. Our ACCESS Aligned Portfolio is R&D’s outcomes-accountable care delivery and evidence-generation platform, launching its first live demonstrations in cardio-kidney-metabolic conditions and in behavioral health with additional condition tracks in development. The Product Strategist, Principal will report to the Director of Research and Development. In this role you will own how we measure and learn from our technology-enabled care models, starting with our ACCESS-aligned pathways. The role sets the measurement and data strategy for each pathway, connects clinical, technology and analytics teams, and turns results into recommendations that shape our strategy, partner choices and decisions about what to scale. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role in an early-stage program, and it will grow as the strategy evolves.
Our leadership model is about developing great leaders at all levels and creating opportunities for our people to grow – personally, professionally, and financially. We are looking for leaders that are energized by creative and critical thinking, building and sustaining high-performing teams, getting results the right way, and fostering continuous learning.
*Note: This is short term employment
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Own the measurement strategy for every ACCESS-aligned pathway. Define the outcomes, leading and lagging indicators, comparison groups and evaluation design for each pathway, so we can say with confidence what worked, for whom, and at what cost.
- Set and lead the data strategy. Determine what data we need from partners, claims, devices and clinical systems, and how it should be captured, structured and linked so results can be measured and attributed to the right intervention.
- Bridge clinical, technology and analytics teams. Translate clinical questions into data requirements and analytic plans, and translate findings back into terms clinical and business leaders can act on.
- Design reporting and the reporting cadence. Build the reports, dashboards and review rhythm that track pathway performance, from early operational signals through outcomes and total cost of care.
- Present to and advise senior leadership. Communicate results, uncertainty and implications clearly, and make evidence-based recommendations on whether to scale, modify or stop a care model.
- Shape strategy and partner selection. Use measurement and evidence expertise to evaluate prospective partners’ claims and data capabilities, and inform which care models and solutions we pursue next.
- Track the evidence landscape. Stay current on research, real-world evidence, payment models and emerging solutions in technology-enabled care, and bring new opportunities and standards back to the team.
- Lead in an evolving environment. Drive work forward in an early-stage program, operate comfortably in ambiguity, adjust the approach as we learn, and grow the role as the strategy expands.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Master's degree in public health, health services research, or a related field is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in healthcare or life sciences at a payer, provider, or digital health company, with working knowledge of claims, utilization, and cost-of-care analysis.
- Experience designing outcomes measurement for healthcare programs, including defining outcomes and KPIs, choosing comparison approaches, and translating results into financial impact.
- A track record of leading cross-functional work across clinical, technology, and analytics teams without direct authority.
- Experience building reporting, dashboards, or analytics products for internal and external stakeholders in HIPAA-governed environments.
- Strong executive communication skills, including turning complex or uncertain findings into a clear scale, modify, or stop recommendation.
- Experience evaluating digital or device-enabled care models, including AI-enabled products is preferred.
- Familiarity with value-based or outcomes-based payment models; exposure to CMS Innovation Center models is a plus.
- Peer-reviewed outcomes research or real-world evidence publications is preferred.
