Project Accountant Junior (French Speaker)

Job Description

Within the Porto Shared Services Center, the Junior Project Accountant supports the Finance and Professional Services teams in the administrative and financial management of customer projects. The role contributes to the quality of project invoicing, profitability monitoring, financial data management, and continuous process improvement.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in project financial control within an international SaaS environment.

Project Financial Monitoring

• Participate in the creation and maintenance of projects in management systems.
• Ensure the consistency and accuracy of project financial data.
• Monitor project budgets, revenues, costs, and margins.
• Identify variances and alert the relevant teams.

Billing and Revenue Management

• Prepare the information required for project invoicing.
• Verify compliance with contractual milestones before issuing invoices.
• Ensure reconciliation between contracts, customer purchase orders, and invoicing.
• Contribute to the monitoring of revenue recognition.

Operational Team Support

• Support Project Managers on administrative and financial matters.
• Respond to internal inquiries related to projects.
• Assist in resolving invoicing or data-related issues.

Reporting and Control

• Prepare regular financial reports.
• Participate in monthly closing activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and internal controls.
• Maintain data quality within financial systems.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
• Previous experience in accounting, auditing, controlling, or sales administration is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Strong Excel skills.
• Comfortable working with ERP systems and management tools.
• Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.

Languages

• Professional proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
• Fluent Portuguese.
