We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Victor. This role will be based in Bethesda, Maryland, with flexibility for other U.S. locations. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Victor Insurance Managers Inc., a subsidiary of Marsh, is the world’s oldest and largest underwriting manager of specialty insurance, professional liability, and risk management programs. Victor is seeking a professional to join its growing Real Estate E&O team, where the ideal candidate is self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values strong relationships with colleagues and clients. This established team of eight colleagues underwrites and services a high-volume portfolio for the real estate industry, including agents, brokers, property managers, commercial firms, appraisers, title agents, and more.
We will count on you to:
Profitably manage an existing portfolio of renewal business and underwrite new opportunities daily.
Evaluate client’s exposure to loss based on established program eligibility.
Utilize underwriting platform to generate pricing and communicate terms to Victor brokers.
Negotiate final terms and position the Victor value proposition to brokers.
Engage with our carrier partner to develop bespoke coverages and determine pricing for complex risks.
Work with both in-house and outsourced support teams to service portfolio.
On a limited basis attend industry trade shows and/or travel to meet with broker partners (2-3 trips annually)
What you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of underwriting experience or transferable work experience.
Strong analytical aptitude and critical thinking demonstrated through work assignments.
P&C license required, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
