Details of the Division and Team:
Risk Management Solutions is global sales team within division of Corporate Treasury Sales covering corporate clients by delivering solutions to clients to better manage FX, Rates, Commodity and other bespoke financial market risks. In APAC, we have salespeople located across the regional hubs in Singapore and Hong Kong as well as in 11 other markets across Asia.
Salesperson is responsible achieving revenue plans of the division as per the business strategy by managing the desk with a thorough knowledge of product, clients, competitive landscape and regulatory environment.

You can expect:
Provident Fund: the Bank will contribute 25% towards the EPF. These rates are subject to change in accordance with the amendments made to the EPF Trust duly approved by the statutory authority.
Employees Trust Fund: the Bank will contribute 3% of the basic salary towards the Employees Trust Fund (E.T.F.). This rate is subject to change in accordance with the statutory limits as declared by the Government of Sri Lanka.
Gratuity : You will be entitled to Gratuity, on resignation/separation/retirement from Bank (after completion of 5 years continued service).
Medical Insurance: All employees and dependents (spouse and children) are covered under a Medical Insurance Policy.
Group Term Life Insurance: All employees are covered under a Life Assurance Policy.
Group Personal Accident Insurance: All employees are covered under a Personal Accident Insurance Policy.
Your key responsibilities
Deliver Business Objectives within the Bank’s Risk Framework
Pricing and Execution of Client Transactions
Conduct regular client meetings and visits
Strong understanding of applicable internal policies, external regulations, and industry best practices
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of governance, control, and operational risk processes, ensuring adherence
Senior-Level Client Relationship Management with senior executives, promoters, business owners, and key decision-makers across the client portfolio
Proactively identify cross sell opportunities to deepen client relationships
Recognize opportunities within local markets and collaborate with regional specialist teams to leverage the bank’s global capabilities
Collaborative Client Coverage with other businesses teams
Strengthening existing client portfolio and Wallet Share Expansion of existing clients
Provide timely market updates, economic insights, and relevant research publications to clients
Coordinate bilateral discussions between clients and Deutsche Bank's research teams, enabling direct access to market insights, economic analysis, and sector expertise
Oversee the periodic review and update of internal guidance documents
Expand the client franchise by identifying and onboarding new target clients
Plan and coordinate client events
Your skills and experience:
A degree or an equivalent professional qualification in Banking, Finance or Management.
Minimum 8 years of banking industry experiences with 3 year experience in a sales related role
Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
Deep understanding of financial markets and treasury products
Commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to identify and monetize opportunities.
Strong knowledge of regulatory, compliance, risk, and governance frameworks.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to work across multiple business lines and regional teams.
Extroverted personal skills with positive attitude and ability to have a rounded approach in terms of revenue, risk, control and governance
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
Mandatory Qualification: Should possess one of the professional qualification/s listed below at the time of applying or to be obtained within 1 year of appointment
1. The Dealing Certificate or Operations Certificate offered by the Financial Market Association (Association Cambiste Internationale – ACI).
2. A certificate in Treasury and Foreign Exchange Operations offered by the Centre for Banking Studies of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
3. The Diploma in Treasury and Risk Management offered by the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka.
4. Membership in the Institute of Chartered Financial Analyst
